BBYFACE New Name Creation & brand Design
Our client is an award-winning make-up artist. They are renowned for creating bespoke bridal, hen party and occasional make-up. They have brought new products to market, having previously launched their own personalised lashes.
Their latest product is a make-up removal mitt. This mitt gently removes all make-up and grime for professional, clean results. Gently exfoliating, make-up is removed more effectively and in a more comfortable way. Removing make-up, including mascara with just water, the product is machine washable and can be re-used afterwards, resulting in zero waste.
Our brief was to originate a new name and generate a brand for the product. The TOV was to create an up-market, high-quality product.
Having developed a number of name and brand suggestions at stage 1, it was agreed that we progress with the made-up name BBYFACE, which research determined as being available for Trademarking purposes. The accompanying strap-line “LOVE YOUR SKIN” was created, with reference to the cleaning effectiveness of the product and its positive environmental features.
The brand style itself uses a hand-written, fresh style of font (resembling a mark made by a make-up pencil or lipstick), the little heart motif highlighting the kindness to your skin in keeping with the strapline messaging. In terms of colour palette we’ve used shades of gold and wine red, setting the tone for the upmarket, high quality product.
