Girl in the garden

I think it's got a sort of Hockney quality to it, but I certainly bit off more than I can chew with this one: There are just so many details in a scene like this.

I surprised myself with how the girl turned out, but I found foliage way harder to paint than I anticipated. I began with a broadly abstract approach on the right hand side, but I much prefer the more detailed (but still painterly) approach in the left hand side. I'm chuffed with my pots, they feel instantly recognisable.
