Accessibility themed Teams backgrounds

A look back at some work we did with Twisted Poly last year for Microsoft Teams 🤩. Our teams collaborated to create immersive backgrounds that celebrate Global Accessibility Awareness Day. In these compositions, six different accessibility areas are represented in layered and dynamic ways. They embrace disabilities as a universal human experience and invoke themes of visibility, representation, and equity.

Teams backgrounds are unique visual elements in our digital landscape due their use cases and as a form of self-expression. Interestingly, compared to wallpaper work, in composing these backgrounds our aim is to create environmental pieces that allow users to situate themselves in space and spark conversation in digital environments.
