Slavic Battleship

Graphic illustration for an apparel & accessories brand that draws inspiration from Slavic culture and mythology, on a mission to preserve this rich heritage from the sands of time.

This is a reconstruction & redesign of a 1907 illustration of Ivan Bilibin, a Russian illustrator and stage designer that depicted Russian folk tales and Slavic folklore.

“Slava” in Slavic languages means “glory” and refers to ancestral honor, ancient tradition & cultural heritage.

The design features a tribal Slavic battleship from Novgorod.
