Cute NFT App UI Design

Client and Objective

The client is Moon, they are a new up-and-coming startup with the goal of revolutionizing the NFT marketplace business with a design-first approach and a deeply curated experience for the users.

Establish the visual language of this new NFT marketplace app that is ready to revolutionise the digital art scene. Lock a visual aesthetic and then scale the design on multiple screens, based on the wireframes and the flow that is provided by the client. Build a UI Library of the final UI and create a functional prototype.

Following research and mood boarding I was torn between two paths of on-trend dark designs that most existing NFT markets use or an alternative route with fun pastel shades and cute/quirky artwork as my NFTs.

I took both styles into Figma for some visual exploration exercises. Initially, I thought I'd be going with the dark style using AI artwork I had created using Mid journey.

I repeated the visual exploration and ideation process creating various visual styles until I found one I was happy with. Then creating a UI library making it easier to turn my wire frames into hi-fidelity designs.

Outcome

Overall I'm really pleased with my final outcome, considering the initial visual designs where I changed direction uncertain if pastels were the way to go. I'm glad I kept with the pastel design route in the end, creating something unique and different from others.
