Crypto Currency UI Design
The Project
For my second capstone in Dribbble’s Product Design Course, I designed a user interface for a crypto app. The course provided initial market research, user flows, and wireframes, so I could focus on UI and prototyping.
The Design
I used the initial wireframes as a starting point and built a component library to give the app a friendly and approachable look. The course-provided research showed that the intention of the app was to make cryptocurrency easy to understand for newcomers, so I used Blush characters to bring some fun into a topic that could be overwhelming and dry to an outsider.
User-Centered Design
In addition to the provided wireframes, I also created a learning component for the app design. Since some users may not be ready to jump in feet first and start investing, I thought it would be appropriate to include a space for users to grow their investing knowledge right in the app. I created a library layout for short, digestible lessons that will help the end-user not only invest by using the app but grow as an investor while using it. This unique feature would help an app of this nature be seen as a thought leader, and build trust among its inexperienced users. It would also help to capture the brand loyalty of young investors that are just starting out, and turn them into life-long customers.
The Final Prototype
Below you can check out the full prototype design in action. Please let me know what you think!
