Overview

I participated in Dribbble's Intro to UI Design Course where we were tasked with creating a design forward NFT marketplace. Having a photography background I wanted to create a design that focused on selling photographers work as an NFT.

Brief

Establish visual language of this new NFT marketplace app that is ready to revolutionize the digital art scene. Lock a visual aesthetic and then scale the design on multiple screens, based on the wireframes and the flow that is provided from the client. Build a UI Library of the final UI and create a functional prototype.

Establishing Design

When starting out I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go in. I started by making two VERY different mood boards as well as a splash screen and discover page for each design.

Locking In The Design

After experimenting with both designs I decided to go with the elegant photo focused design. Once I choose the design, I focused on establishing the typefaces and colors of my final design.

In Conclusion / Future Goals

This course was extremely helpful in understanding Figma deeper than I had before. I had an amazing mentor he was attentive and personable in each of our meetings. My future goal for after this course is to focus on getting a job in the field of UI design, learning more, and honing in on my skills as a designer.
