8 days Tanzania lodge luxury safari to Lake Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater. On this Tanzania luxury safari you will visit the Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti National Park. Watching thousands of wildebeests and zebras crossing the grassland savannah is an experience to behold and surely one of Africa wonders. Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania
You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Moshi/Arusha town for dinner and overnight
Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara | Tanzania private lodge safari
Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Moshi/Arusha at 06:00am and drive you to Lake Manyara National Park. The park encompasses the northwest bank and part of the alkaline Lake Manyara which itself rests in the Great Rift Valley. The park is perhaps best known for its flamingos, pelicans and cormorants but it is also the home for a few hundred other species of birds; it is therefore a paradise for ornithologists. Next to a great variety of birds, the “Big Game” can also be seen.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park | Perfect Tanzania luxury private lodge safari
After breakfast, we collect our lunch boxes, and start our journey which takes us west and north, our exciting destination being a name familiar to everyone the Serengeti. On the way, the sheer scale of the territory and the raw beauty and awesomeness of the landscapes reveal themselves and your driver-guide will help you to spot animals and birds. This is just a preview of things to come, for the Serengeti is home to what is possibly the world's greatest gathering of wildlife. After enjoying a picnic lunch, you will be eager to pursue some more great wildlife-spotting opportunities in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.These endless plains are home to elephant, Buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, hippo and crocodile, the adventure has truly begun. At the evening after all exhausted and exhilarated, it's time to drive you back to your chosen accommodation for dinner and to talk about the many fantastic experiences you had today. Day 4: Serengeti | Tanzania luxury private lodge safari
On this trip of a lifetime, we now have a short drive to reach the great Serengeti's Western Corridor, the park's narrow section through which the Great Migration must pass at this time of the year. This is our focus, as the herds of thousands of zebra and wildebeest gather enough strength to cross the Grumeti River. For them, danger lurks in the form of the Nile crocodiles for you, safe in your vehicle, this is a chance to see Nature at its very rawest in this stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site. Animals on the move, animals hunting or being hunted. A varied rich birdlife is present too, as are the Colobus monkeys who inhabit the forests. Each day is different here, unpredictable and full of surprises, but nothing can surpass the Great Migration, that unique natural wonder which involves a cast of breathtaking numbers, literally hundreds of thousands of animals making their annual journey. These two days are all about the great Serengeti. you will learn about animal behavior as well as their social structures. The Serengeti National Park is the third largest park in Tanzania and is stunningly beautiful. While the landscape in the south is characterized by open grassland as far as you can see, open woodlands and hills are predominant in the north and west. Together with the Masai Mara, the Serengeti is host to the Great Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras, one of the greatest shows on earth. Your home is one of the Kati Kati Tented Camps. Day 7: Serengeti to Ngorongoro crater |Tanzania private lodge safari
In the morning, we will have another game drive in Serengeti National Park. Come afternoon, we proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Olduvai Gorge museum, a famous archaeological location in East Africa. At Laetoli, located 45 km south of Olduvai gorge, you will find hominin footprints preserved in volcanic rock that dates back 3.6 million years ago and represent some of the earliest signs of mankind in the world. Day 8: Ngorongoro crater to Arusha
We start with an early morning game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. Ngorongoro was established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It also safeguards the interests of indigenous people and promotes tourism.
