I was really excited to get this prompt because it's fun and creative, and I love food! I immediately started thinking about the possible users that would be on this app, and decided I wanted to create a very simple yet fun app for all ages. I knew from the beginning I wanted to focus on bringing users to cook together by creating a facetime like feature.

My process for this project was to first reach out to friends and family to speak to them about their experiences using cooking applications and sharing recipes, then create a user flow for my lo-fidelity wireframes, iterate those designs, and finally, design hi-fidelity wireframes!

As a current UX Research Intern, I've had the opportunity to focus on conducting interviews and usability studies, and I have learned the importance of asking the right questions. So, for this project, I prioritized doing well-thought-out research so that my designs would be a reflection of the user's goals.

User Flow

This was actually the most challenging part for me, and something that I am trying my best to learn exactly how to do them. I believe I get most confused when going from a decision to a task to a page.

I really enjoy drawing out my lo-fi designs, that way I can process what I am thinking I want to design, and don't go straight into trying to make things look pretty on Figma.

Due to time constraints, I decided to do my iterations after my lo-fi design. I at least wanted to get some concepts down and do some concept testing with the friends and family I had originally interviewed with.

Hi-Fi Designs

Here are my final hi-fi designs! I had a lot of fun creating this and enjoyed getting creative with the prompt. My next steps for this would be getting feedback from other designers, doing usability studies with users, and continuing to iterate!

Thank you for taking the time to read this, I appreciate you! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
