Epilectra: The Graphic Novel Series

For most of 2022, I've been working with a lovely writer, Sue Seserman, to illustrate her graphic novel series, Epilectra.

There has been so much going on in the background, but I'm SO excited to share more about this project. We're still in the thick of it, but I've been having such an amazing time learning the ins and outs of what it takes to illustrate a graphic novel from scratch. I can't wait to share more as I illustrate the first story in the new Epilectra series.

Story 1 Summary:

Eden, Epilectra’s human self, and her brother, Logan, are hit by lightning while visiting their parents in Philidelphia, leaving Eden with epilepsy and Logan paralyzed below the waist. They soon learn their disabilities came with unusual superabilities. Logan is now a techie savant, and teacher Eden can channel the seizure-causing electricity in her brain through her fingertips as lightning. With support from their wealthy, Latino friend Angel, they create Team SEEZ (Support & Empower Everyone Zealously) for superheroes with disabilities they can turn into superpowers. Eden becomes the teams leader, Epilectra. Her first adversary is BlaqOut, a vanquished alien who cuts all power in the Manhatten.
