Character Grid

This one's a few years old. I found it while going through my archived files. In its final stage, each head was printed on canvas, stretched over a square frame, and hung as a 5x5 grid (there's a row that's not shown here). The final piece was called "Channel Surfing" because the characters shown were based on a series of images I listed while flipping through channels. A neighboring piece consisted of blown up balloons with faces drawn on them, popped, and pinned to the wall stretched, hence the reason these heads have balloon strings. Hey, it was grad school. Tried different things.
