Sculpted alien character

This was a first draft at playing with textures. I really liked this one, but decided to go with something different for the final render. This reminded me of wool combined with rock.

Final render! I wanted to create a creature that had emotion and as I was going along, a back-story began to emerge in my mind. This was what I originally posted with the submission:

This creature's name is Sxross. Banished to a faraway planet that has no life at the edge of the galaxy, so it can do no more harm. All it wants is to give its heart to someone, but the slightest touch sends 10 Million volts of electricity into the recipient. Sxross is now forever destined to live without companionship as it is all alone in the universe. Or is it?
