It’s impossible to ignore how fast our world is now. It’s something I constantly think about. How quickly we consume and forget everything: news, media, content, major events. We’ve seen the rise of trends. Influencers and brands have learned that attention is currency more than ever. Trends can be a quick flash in the pan to gain attention, but potentially at the cost of authenticity. However, I do believe that every trend starts out unique to its originator. But shortly after everyone jumps on, and does the same thing, suddenly it’s no longer special and we’re hungry for the next thing. We’re stuck in a conundrum of craving newness, but we all want to do the same thing.
