Style Study

I've been studying the work of Eyvind Earle recently, trying to absorb some of his compositional and stylistic genius. :-) Here are a couple of the studies I've done, with a focus on using color to create depth and playing with extreme foregrounds and backgrounds to create drama.

Haven't done any rendering on these yet, as the focus is composition. But I'm looking forward to diving deep into adding a lot of detail to them over the next few days.
