That Summer of Exciting & Brilliant Discoveries

“That Summer of Exciting & Brilliant Discoveries” is a math book created by 3rd grade children.

The stories included in the book were concepted and thought by the children during their summer vacation on how  math was applied in everyday life. 

All the stories were gathered from Mrs. Niiru, their teacher, that eventually put them together into a book.

It is a math book that helps children learn in a new way.

I was commissioned to design the cover, editorial and the illustrations of the book according to the different events told by the children.

The challenge in itself was to make an illustration style that created an aesthetically playful and yet interesting math book for children of that age.

With this book, kids will explore math in an amusing and entertaining way while learning about real numbers and many other math topics.
