A Texas Soul Identity

Micah Edwards is a recording artist and performer that wanted to develop his personal brand to reflect his unique, country meets funk signature sound. 

Whenever I start a branding project I need to get a hold of what kind of personality I am to represent visually. Doing this really helps establish the brands values and creates a great metric to measure the creative assets against. 

So where do I start?

With a conversation of course. Well, he's a recording artist, so I mainly listened. His music is fantastic by the way, go check him out HERE! And after being amazed by his familiar and fresh sound, we chatted and I was able to capture that he had five specific characteristics to himself, Texas, Soul, Nostalgic, Relatable, and Authentic. 

Now that the personality is defined, I define that visually through moodboards.​​​​​​​
