Maria Mezcaleria

Logo Design for an authentic Mezcal restaurant run by a husband and wife duo in Waco, Texas. 

Their business objective is to offer something exciting and new to small-town residents and tourists, teach them about the history of Mezcal, and serve the best food & drinks in a homey atmosphere. 

As the brand’s name is an homage to the Mexican actress María Félix, I decided to depict her in the logo, along with an agave plant. 

The graphics are paired with chunky hand-drawn type in an oval lockup.
