Floating villages
Floating villages are also located in the Mekong Delta. People live in such conditions not out of love for the exotic, but because Vietnam is a rather poor country, and many of its inhabitants simply have nothing to buy a house on land or nothing to pay for the land to build it. The villagers make their living by fishing, breeding fish in water cages for sale, growing and extracting pearls, and serving tourists. Illustration created on iPad using Adobe Fresco.
