Splash screen confusion
Users did not know what to do at the first intro onboarding screen. The image was slow to load as well.
Solution
We added a “Get Started” button to the splash screen to influence an action. We also cut back on the image effects to speed up the loading time.
Registration screen options
Users wanted to select all options for Registration criteria and wanted to toggle between two buttons on Registration that were not accounted for.
Solution
Creating variant states that were distinguishable visually of what was on/off.
Color compliance issues
It became clear that we had an accessibility issue and had to change the color.
Solution
We shifted from a yellow-orange to a bright red-orange that passed the test while still keeping the design friendly and approachable.
Favoriting & contrast
Users wanted to favorite walkers from the home screen just from first impressions, which we did not anticipate.
Solution
We adjusted the fave button size and created variant states.
