Our journey across endangered ecosystems takes us to the Broadleaf Forests of Japan. This island country in East Asia has a diverse climate and plant life with nine forest ecoregions.
You’ll find everything from broadleaf trees to conifers to palm trees. The oldest tree in Japan is a Jomon Cedar that’s around 7,200 years old.
