Although much smaller than the Amazon, the Pantanal is a huge deal. Winding along Brazil’s eastern coast, this tropical rainforest has an amazing variety of plants and animals—many found nowhere else in the world. ⁠

Only about 12% of the original Pantanal is left, caused by logging, agriculture, cattle ranching, urban development, and climate change.⁠
