The client

General Task is a productivity application that consolidates to-do lists from your emails, messages, slacks, and meetings into one application. General Task aims to unlock the superpower of time for organizations and individuals to be able to effectively manage his/her time.

The challenge

General task came to us with an already built-out application. They wanted a specific feature called “Focus Mode” that would allow users to toggle on and off different interfaces for focus priorities. This was so that there would be more focus on the features that the user wanted to use.

The solution

We designed a few variants to show the client how Focus Mode could be laid out. One was where the Focus Mode takes over the whole application directing attention only to those features. Then another one where we allow the app interface to stay the same and users would still be able to view the other remainder of the app.

The result

After a 2 week sprint, we successfully delivered General Task’s Focus Mode. We can't wait to see where they go with their new feature!
