What is a Fresh Hop Beer?

Fresh Hops are picked the day they are used

Hops are extremely volatile and once picked they must be dried or used within 24hrs. 99% of beer you try have dried hops in them. However, once a year around late summer/early fall the hop farms harvest their crops. We work with farms in Washington to pick up fresh Strata hops and drive them overnight from WA to CA for use in this special beer. The resulting beer is exploding with flavor like you have never tried before!

For the label design, I aimed to reinforce the idea that they are "exploding" with flavor. You can see the design layout references an explosion. The second aspect was that each year the hops change, so I need to consider how the system could evolve each year to reflect the flavors of the hops. For the 2022 Crop Year, I chose a lush overripe color palette of oranges and yellows.
