The mission of 49 West Hops is to serve the Chicagoland craft brewing marketplace by cultivating, processing, packaging, storing, delivering, and promoting top-quality aromatic hops. By utilizing its experience and expertise, and by working closely with research institutions, industry organizations and brewing partners, 49 West Hops will work to provide high-quality, locally-sourced hops in the varieties that meet the needs of its Chicagoland brewing partners. 

This mark is designed to look like modern weathervane with the horizontal line creating both the number 4 as well as an arrow pointing west. The hops are represented visually and are framed within the nine which symbolically communicates how the company draws on the proximity of City to influence the cultivation of the hops.
