Beaver Logo for the Canadian Comedy Awards

The Canadian Comedy Awards asked a bunch of designers to submit drafts of a new branding for the 13th edition (2013). The rules were simple: we had to create a new logo featuring a beaver as it’s been the event’s symbol for years.

This is a quick draft I made. Although I made it to the final stage, they finally chose a Canadian agency to develop the branding that you can see now (as of February 2015) on their website.
