One thing that Yelp's design team should explore more is how the app can help people find new places. By diversify the search result, the users can potentially find more new things.

In this screenshot, the search result also shows restaurant lists, shows what restaurant your friends checked-in and recommended. It's better than friend's feed in that this is after the users actively searched for the topics that they're interested in.
