Dog Walker gives dog owners the ability to find the perfect match for their dog's needs and takes care of all the hassles in between. App verifies every walker, and it's easy to communicate so you can be sure your dog is in good hands.

🚥 Problem statement

Dog owners with busy schedules need help caring for and walking their dogs. Most important thing they need a trusted dog sitters and dog walking service to rely on. Dog owners need to trust their dog caregivers deeply.

My goal was to help them find that trust and reliability while providing a seamless user experience.

Using a database of 30 million profiles, Statistics estimates demographics for dog walkers in the United States with following in numbers:

🎡 Design process

After interviewing friends I started introducing design process with 5 steps: Empathise, Define, Ideate, Prototype & Test, Refine & Deliver.

🎭 User Persona:

I wanted a quick and simple onboarding experience, give the user the power to customize their needs. I want to get them on board first and build their profile from there.

🚠 User flows

From here, I was individually tasked with working on user flows. You can see the first iteration of my flow below.

📐 Wireframing

After collecting all the ideas, flows and needed functionalities I went into wireframing and build visual design from there.

🎨 Visual Design

From here, I moved to visual design. I got inspired nature/the outdoors, hence the green colour, so I wanted to stray from that with a happier, friendlier approach. I was then tasked with developing the visual screens shown below, as well as a booking sequence.

🛠️ Design systems

Then I moved to design systems. I built a library for reusable elements to simplify my designing process and continued to refine my component library to prepare for handoff.

Then I built a high-fidelity prototype to prepare for a final round of usability tests.

As a result, Dog walker provides a simple way to find trusted dog walker and more, a streamlined booking process with no wait time. Dog owners can now book reliable dog walkers conveniently and feel safe knowing their dog is in good hands.

Thus, in understanding my user's needs and pain points, I designed a solution that seamlessly integrates into any dog owner's routine.
