Very proud to announce the launch of the new NRDC identity!

NRDC works to safeguard the earth—its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends. They use law, science, and the support of 1.4 million members and online activists to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living things.

I was tasked with creating an identity that symbolized pride, action, and strength. Any natural elements that did not hold global meaning needed to be removed and the bear needed to reproduce at smaller sizes, feel species-generic, and hold a sense of pride and deliberate action. Adding context and symbolism is an eight pointed star, reminiscent of a compass. This reflects the aspirations behind NRDC's mission and a global connection to natural beauty and wonder.
