How to Save a Piñata
This print came about from a trip to a store that sells items in bulk. It was very random but after seen all the piñatas up high on the top shelves of the store, I started thinking, "how would a piñata avoid getting hit?" The answer that I came up with is that it would have an accomplice, someone to steer it out of danger, like a tiny cowboy. As we kept walking throughout the store, we saw the bulk bins section and they had the most nostalgic candies! The "abuelita" strawberry candies that every grandma has at her house and that you NEVER see in stores! But here they were! So I had to add them to the illustration. They became the delicious droppings of a piñata. I hope you enjoy this print! It was a blast to make.
