Day 06 - Thick Military Socks

Picture this, It's the coldest day of the year, and your toes are numb. You dig through your sock drawer, hoping to find a pair that would keep them toasty. Your sock assortment includes the casual variety, the athletic pair, the no-show socks, and the novelty socks with cool designs that every twentysomething considers to be on trend. Not one of these socks will do its job of keeping your feet warm.

As my younger brother returned from his first military duty wearing a pair of wacky thick socks, I knew I had found the one. I stole/borrowed a pair to test on, and holy socks, those things are comfortable.

Looking for new socks? Consider a pair of thick military socks. You may find that they are more comfortable than thinner socks. Especially with the extra compression provided by the cushioned sole made of a blend of wool, cotton, and nylon. Disclaimer: Overly cushioned socks may not be a suitable choice for walking in the summer since they may cause your feet to overheat and sweat.

Key takeaways : Intro to cloth simulation - Importing a rigged character with animation - creating fabric material.
