151 Mew - Pokemon One a Day

Part of a series of 152 illustrations that sought to present the famous character creatures of the Nintendo hit franchise Pokemon in various new styles and direction. Mew is the celebratory final piece to the series. Capping off 400-500 hours of work over 152 illustrations, I knew I wanted to end the series with a bang.

I created an extensive mural with tons of overlapping themes and ideologies to tell a story, yet at the same time allow it to be read in the viewer's own point of view. This piece took even longer than Snorlax's to continue, and was also down to the wire in terms of deadline.

This piece has circulated the internet quite a bit, and is arguably the most recognizable and most powerful piece of the series.
