Better UI for batteries — enterprise grade software redesign

About challenge

For a month, Hubert @hubdab and I (HUBANN) worked as a team, meeting with clients and developing the first app concept.

We spent a half-day on "unbranding" to hide the information about our customers and keep their business private.

That led to fancy ideas like “batterflies” and great discussions about form, function, and fun.

Besides that, we really believe that good, helpful software should be accessible to everyone, not just for consumers and users, but especially for employees who spend their days with software at work.

We found that most users want things to be simple because they don't know much about technology, and that each stakeholder, especially end user, only needs to do three things.

The customization we designed — grids, custom tabs, graphs, and tables — allows factory employees to build interface elements tailored to their specific tasks and workflows. Since there wasn’t enough time to propose templates for them, we believe that a simple interface that causes fewer customer questions will allow them to build better batteries and result in increased satisfaction and more time to customize this software to their needs.

We will post more, if you let us know what would be interesting in the comments :) Batterfly logo is coming :) soon.
