Lesgo: Transportation App
Outcome
A mobile app that satisfies client requirements and is tested to ensure that users know the what, when, and how regarding bus line arrival and departure times at a particular bus stop.
Problem
A local transportation agency has recently expanded and added numerous bus routes that happen to stop at a particular bus stop, which has led to commuter frustration and confusion.
A solution is needed to help commuters:
Know when each bus arrives at the bus stop
Know how much time they have to get to the bus stop before the bus they need arrives
Select 1 of 7 bus lines to see a list of its future arrival times at the bus stop

Discover
To best design a solution, I first needed to think broadly and identify research plan goals so I could understand my users and gather relevant data.
Through research, I wanted to:
Identify user needs and public transit mobile application expectations
Understand user traits, demographics, characteristics, and underlying motivations
Identify public transit tracking pain points and opportunities for improvement
Methods:
Competitive Analysis
User Survey
User Interviews
Personas
User Stories
Define
I conducted user research and focused on keeping an open mind to gathering data and generating ideas for my design.
Methods:
User Stories
Sketches
User Flows
Sitemap
Wireframes
Develop
The goal is to generate as many ideas as possible. I went crazy with sketching, creating low-fidelity wireframes, testing early and often, and thinking about UI.
Methods:
Branding
High-Fidelity Prototype
Moderated Usability Testing
Delivery
Users can use this app to:
Know when each bus arrives at the Washington & State bus stop
Know how much time is needed to arrive at the Washington & State bus stop before the bus that is needed, arrives
Select 1 of 7 bus lines to see a list of future arrival times at the Washington & State bus stop

Learnings & Takeaways
When in doubt, test it!
Continued competitive research and usability testing
Incorporate ride and transit type filters (ex. Users who want to bike to a bus stop)
Design changes to indicate the experience is live and updating in real-time
