Drive Coffee - Branded Product Graphic - 3D Case Study
The same can asset was used from the Guayaki Case Study. I then projected the Drive label onto the can, and increased the roughness, since the reference photo wasn't overly shiny/glossy.
I then modeled the condensation drops and created a water material for the droplets. To scatter the condensation across the can, I created a particle system and used the condensation drops as the particles. by randomizing the scale & rotation, I was able to create a fairly realistic condensation effect.
To create the coffee bean I started with with a cylinder, and modeled it into the rough shape of a coffee bean. I then UV mapped a coffee bean texture onto it, and added some physical bump/ texture so it didn't look completely smooth. To finish it off, I duplicated the beans, simulated them with physics constraints, added lighting and a backdrop, adjusted the color and rendered the image!
A lot of words to describe a minimal & sleek image. This one was super fun to do, and gave me a lot more confidence in simulating hard objects falling/ colliding.
