Guayaki - Yerba Mate 3D Product Graphic - Case Study
This piece was so fun! This case study was intended as an experiment, with the aim of bringing the viewer into the scene in a tangible way. The focus of this project was selling the wetness, and the coolness of the drink. This was accomplished through creating the effect of condensation and the ice.
To create this graphic, I first 3D modeled a yellow drink cooler, as a place for the ice to sit. I then modeled an ice cube, and created some bump/ roughness to really sell the ice. I then made the ice see through, and shiny, which I feel really sold the realism of the ice. Once the ice cube was complete, I duplicated it until I had a bunch of ice, which I dropped into the cooler.
I modeled the drink can, projected Yerba Mate's label, and made the drink can shiny with some roughness. I then placed the can in the ice, placed lighting in the scene, modeled the environment (backdrop), and added scene colors until the graphic was aesthetically appealing! Super fun to do, and a great practice in product modeling/graphics.
