菊と刀 Book Covers

Hey there everyone,

Last weekend I decided to start a new personal projects in which I create "artworks" and/or spot illustrations about the books, artists, albums and places that inspire or have inspired me throughout the years. It's not like a top 10 of something, so there will be no specific order, number, or stylistic expression.

The original cover artwork I did for The Chrysanthemum and The Sword is based on a very simple, more iconic illustration that followed a certain concept which I explain in the comments of the shot.

Here I dropped this concept and followed my intentions/feelings.In the end I landed on two different expressions so i wanted to share them both with you.
