CoGuide is a concept I had for a mobile application that stores documents and information for all types of travels.

Discovery and Ideation

As a travel enthusiast with airport anxiety, I always ran into the issue of easily gathering all the documents and info I needed to use on a trip. I would have to memorize where I stored which ticket in which platform and remember to constantly check travel warnings and advisories. Thus, I wanted to create an effortless way to collect documents and information I needed in one quick, accessible place.

Framing the Problem

So who is our user here and what is the problem they are trying to solve?

Our user is an individual that frequently travels and wants to easily and securely access all of their important travel documents in one place so they can reduce their worries about missing any information.

The Process

Research

I started out my research by doing concept testing. I wanted to gauge just how useful the idea was and how useful it could be. From there, I did an individual interview and a group interview. Lastly, I conducted market research and found that the competition pool was really low.

User Flow

I wanted to focus on two flows that a user would have to go through. One is the sign up process and the other is adding a document or event to a trip.

Visual Design

I wanted the look of the app to be clean and minimalistic, yet stray away from the typical business grey boring. It was important for the app to be concise so that the user can easily navigate to their items, but an elevated look and design was not sacrificed.

Conclusion

Creating this app really helped me narrow in on designing with user centered functions in mind. There were a lot of elements and possibilities to think through, and even now I know I can go back and make things even better!
