Opera Bear

Here is the final bear illustration with three coats of Soluvar Gloss Varnish. This was a fun experiment and it felt good to get back into the traditional painting saddle. I was not concerned too much with the drawing, which has some issues, but wanted to play around with watercolor and gouache while focusing on adding layers of Crystal Clear in between each step. My plan is to do at least one traditional piece a month for 2015. I do need to play around with my scanner since I had to adjust the scan quite a bit to match the original. Anyway, enough rambling, time to get some work completed.
