Food Expiry App

My name is Michael Horsfall, I am writing to you because of a user interface design I would like to have done for an app. I am very big on trying to be as eco-friendly, which includes trying to throw away as little food as possible. However, since I and my family tend to have a fully stocked fridge without always knowing what exactly is in it and how long it has been there, can make this a little difficult sometimes. Therefore, I had an idea for an app that could help with this. I thought it would be great if there were an app that allows you, and in case you live with others, them as well, to set up an account to which you can easily upload the food that you currently have in the house, along with the date on which it is going to expire. The app can then give you a notification of all the things that will soon expire in your fridge. If possible I would also like there to be some option for users to easily look up recipes that include the item that is soon to be expired. This way, it makes it easy for people to use up the food that they have while they still can which can save them some trouble and money. The main requirement of the app is that it should be very simple and very easy to use, if it is not, the end result won't seem worthy of all the trouble. I hope you have a good understanding of what I mean and are able to come up with something.
