Abacus - Logo Design for Online Learning Platform
Abacus is an online learning platform. They help people to create, share and receive bookings for online courses. Abacus is a startup company based in Budapest with global ambitions.
We started the design process with sketches. Sketches help to try out quick ideas, forms, and shapes. We wanted to create an eye-catching yet subtle-looking logo that works both with flat and different colors.
Client's brief: Design an abstract text-based logo that includes education. It should be transparent, easily recognizable, and work with different colors.
In the next step, we started to develop existing ideas and try new ones. Based on the vector drawings, it's easier to select which idea to proceed with further.
We chose the Comfortaa Google font as the font for the logo. This font includes the appropriate playfulness and roundings that are characteristic of the platform.
In the final phase, we selected a logo and enhanced it further with some new shapes. Later on, we added some new colors. We also checked it with outlines and with different orientations. Three base colors were chosen as the color palette, blue, yellow, and green. These colors help associate the logo with learning.
