3D printed polymer parts can be more durable; more corrosion-, chemical-, and heat-resistant; have more impact strength at high heats and subzero temperatures; and exhibit high electrical insulation and noise dampening qualities. Polymers also can be customized and manufactured in shapes often not possible with metal, and 3D printed and in monolithic forms, so there’s no need for assembly or welding.
