Virgo 1

There are multiple goddesses behind the origin of Virgo. One revolves around Astraea, who is the daughter of Zeus (that guy again) and Themis. Known as the 'Star-Goddess', she is most commonly associated with justice, but is also known as a caretaker of humanity. It's widely believed that Astraea is also the basis behind the Libra constellation.

Astraea, along with Virgo, is often depicted with wings. The plant/star represents fertility as well as Astraea's interstellar nickname. I wanted to create a more graceful illustration, which was challenging given the geometric confines and textures I've been using.
