The New York Sun - Brand Identity
The New York Sun was our first go at designing for a major publication, so it was a challenge we wholeheartedly took on. And with its dynamic content, we had to come up with a layout that catered to it beautifully. Because NY Sun’s values were traditional and it is a centrist brand, we chose to go with Serif fonts. The mustard was an accent color that had been in the brand since the 19th century, which is why we retained that when moving the publication to a digital-first approach.
