Intro

Omio grew from a small, Berlin-based startup to a now 10-year-old global group with offices and people in many countries. To reflect our company culture better on the talent-facing side, the Jobs page got a design update.

01: UX Goals

Tailor the page experience to three user types

01. Talent, looking for open roles. They will find a direct link to the Jobs section at the top of the page.

02. Candidates with an open role in mind already, preparing for writing their cover letter or an interview. They will find all about the company, culture, mission, and more summarized on this one page.

03. Members of the people team at Omio regularly update content like job postings. They will have a CMS entry in the backend to make changes independently of any tech support.

02: UI Goals

Translate 'Omio', what we do, our values, and our mission into the design.

01. Mission: We move people. Incorporate moving elements and animations.

02. Values: Diversity makes us stronger. We are fun. We want to be your destination employer: Bright brand colors, patterns, and typography. Photos of real places and people at Omio capture attention until the end of the page.

03. What we do: We are a travel company. Floating movement and hover effects, the sky-color gradient, and illustrations all represent travel.

The Design Process

Technical Implementation

As a brand project outside the product cycle, the technical implementation of this landing page came after the internal approvals of the many departments involved.

Together with the Bleech development agency, I refined, tested, and ultimately launched the re-branded Jobs page which was presented at a company-wide event (SPARK) in September 2022.

The page's WordPress backend is designed to allow our internal creative team to update the page independently, with no need for development help. It also automatically imports work that's done by our people team in the HR software, so that role postings are always up-to-date.

It's Live!

The redesigned Omio Jobs Page is live for you to see, test, and inspect. Thank you for your interest in my work.
