The Challenge

The CityRiddler app offers interactive puzzle tours through cities. To generate these riddles the start-up allows ‘Creators’ to submit riddles via the creator platform and get a share of the riddle revenue after the riddle is approved. A typical riddle creator is an experienced riddler, but not necessarily an experienced tech user. The creator platform, therefore, needs to be easy to use for the non-tech user.

Our Approach

We have examined the status quo of riddle submission for any underlying issues: Creators had to use google forms to submit a riddle. That is inconvenient for the creators and causes credibility loss for the client. To solve these issues, we designed the platform consistent with the client’s branding. We started by building the base of a design system and included the logo and colour scheme provided by the client. With this system in place, we have made the prototype for desktop and then made it responsive for mobile devices.
