Empty and error states are no exception at Kintent in terms of being "Joyfully Crafted". We believe that anything we can do to alleviate a frictional moment in the experience is time and energy well spent.

One of our apps has a user-initiated "Publish" action that makes the app's content available to our user's customers.

If someone were to visit the page before the content is published, they are treated to this whimsical visual that lets them know that the page isn't ready for them to view yet.

The idea

When we need to create a visual, we try to infuse some wit and humor into it. In this case, rather than show a building or physical construction project, we decided to use the suggestion of a web page or UI layout as the "building" in the idea. Our intention is to make our users smile when they encounter a less-than-ideal moment in the experience.
