We can sit here and look at the same thing.

We can sit here and look at the same thing and we’ll never look at the same thing.

Experience. Memory. And perception. They work together. Experience is the beginning of it. You sense it—you feel, you taste, you smell, you touch. This is the event, however without memory to capture the senses, the experience is meaningless. Perception is predicated on experience and memory—however feeds directly back into experience, and perhaps memory.

It is a cycle.

Sharing, matching, and mismatching memories. Photos in the book have memories written on cards. People can interact with the book by pairing my written memories with a photo in the book. To see what photo my written memory matches with, you must shine a blacklight to reveal the corresponding page number.

This is a representation of memories as a book. Memories have holes that allow many memories to mesh, and so does this book. Additionally, I wanted to make this book interactive. Each memory corresponds with a specific written memory unique to me. The reader's goal is to pair the written memory with the correct photo in the book. UV ink and a blacklight reveal the written memory's true place.
