Logo Studies (stalled)

So I'm noodling on a logo for a friend who's looking to start a high school football scouting company. The name is the Georgia Report, and he has absolutely no requirements. I started going for a "G," and an "R" that were shaped like a clipboard, but I think it might be a dead end.
