Cleaner and safer oceans thanks to an app

How to clean the seas and oceans from lost fishing equipment and reduce the extinction of more than 340 animal species? The first attempt of WWF to create a reliable tool for reporting and fishing out fishnets unfortunately failed. Our task was to build an application from scratch and make the process as easy as possible for the divers as well as rescuers.

Find, report, verify, remove

Thanks to the app, not only divers, but also fishermen and many locals can easily report locations with lost fishing equipment, plan a route for verification of suspicious locations and add reports to them, including photos and videos. Because divers should never attempt to remove the fishnets on their own, all reports are checked by the professional team of WWF, which is also responsible for their safe removal.
