VMI Cadet Battery

A t-shirt designed using stock cannon art that closely resembles the cannons of the cadet battery at Virginia Military Institute. I set up the additional design and recolored the cannons to resemble the cadet battery and work for a 2-color screen print design.

These cannons are a piece of history for VMI. They were made to be training artillery for VMI cadets and were used as such prior to the Civil War. However, they were also used in battle in the Civil War on the field with Stonewall Jackson and Captain William Pendleton is credited with naming them Matthew, Mark, Luke & John, because they "spoke a loud gospel."

Created for Charleston Promotion & VMI.
